We need healing

I once had an old Ford Mustang, no not the really fast one. I had a 1974 model with four cylinder, four speed (it had a Pinto engine). It was fast though. It would go from 0 to 60 in under two days. I complained about how little power it had until one day someone told me that the catalytic converter was probably stopped up. Well, we can fix that.

The catalytic converter converts toxic pollutants in your vehicle's emissions to less toxic pollutants. I know, it sounds silly but it is what it is. Anyway, over time, the catalytic converter had become partially plugged with debris and such. We replaced the catalytic converter and the old Mustang had a little more power. You could suddenly start timing its 0 to 60 time in seconds, several seconds, but still seconds.

Today's word is a very familiar passage from 2 Chronicles 7:14, NIV, which reads, "If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land."

A lot of us are walking around with some partially plugged catalytic converters. We are full of toxins and dirt and debris. We aren't running efficiently or effectively, and we won't until we have something replaced. This verse tells us that if we will allow GOD to clean our catalytic converter but humbling ourselves and praying and seeking Him, that He will hear us, forgive us and fix us. And, who knows, you might just be amazed at how well you start running. It'll probably be faster than that ol Mustang.
