His desire is for me

I am on the eve of celebrating another wedding anniversary with the greatest woman GOD ever created. Yeah, you can argue with me if you want, but you'd still be wrong. Just kidding, of course, but Trish is mine. GOD created her for me. He knew what I would need, what I would require in a spouse, what she would require in order to put up with me, and He created Trish for that purpose. I know, bless her heart.

After all this time together, I still desire Trish. And, I don't just mean that in a physical sense. I mean, I want to be with her, just be with her. I love to talk with her, walk with her, hold her hand, just be near her. My desire for her hasn't waned one bit in all our years together. As a matter of fact, it has only grown stronger.

Today's word is Song of Solomon 7:10, NIV, which reads, "I belong to my beloved, and His desire is for me."

As strong as my desire for Trish is, it pales in comparison to GOD'S desire for us. He loves us. We are His children. If you are saved, you are part of the Bride of CHRIST. We are the reason He left the splendor of Heaven and came to provide the price for our freedom from sin - that is LOVE. Have you ever really considered how much GOD desires you, desires a relationship with you? Well, His sacrifice on the cross is proof of His love and desire for each of us.

Yeah, I am certainly blessed to be sharing another anniversary with the one I truly love and desire. And, it is because of the example of LOVE that GOD has demonstrated that we can fully and freely love one another. I am amazed that with all my faults and failures that His desire is for me.
