Our hearts go out to the ones affected by the tornadoes in and around Nashville. I can't imagine what they are going through. I can't imagine the lose they are feeling. Not to sound selfish but I pray I never do. I do pray that GOD will be closer to them than they have ever felt before and that He will comfort them and lead them through this difficult time.
I also pray for all those affected by the coronavirus (Covid -19). It is a little uneasy knowing that this virus is out there that takes days to manifest and that is devastating lives. Again, I pray that my family and I are spared contact with the disease, and that those who have it get well quickly. I pray that those who don't have it don't get it, and that a cure is developed soon.
Today's word is Isaiah 51:12a, NASB, which reads, "I, even I, am He who comforts you..."
When there is no peace in this world, when there is no answer for all that is going on around us, all I know is that my help, my strength, my comfort comes from the LORD. I don't know what tomorrow may hold but I know that my today, my tomorrow, my eternity is held in His hand. And, His Word tells me that He is working all things for my good, which brings comfort.
There are lots of things going on in this world. Many people need our prayers and our help. We need to keep all these needs in mind and help where we can, when we can; that is what GOD has called us to do. Then, we can rest safely, securely, and calmly knowing that GOD is with us and that it is He that can comfort.
Be Blessed,
Mickey T
