Faithful

What do you want to be known for? What do you want your legacy to be? I have had that question posed to me lately and have given it a fair amount of thought. First, I will say that I would like to live a completely anonymous life and die and go to Heaven. But, I know that there is more to it than that.

I certainly want to be remembered for being a good husband and father. I want to be remembered for being a hard worker and for seeing things through. I want to be remembered as being someone who showed up and met the challenges. I want to be remembered as someone who was dependable, trustworthy and honorable. I think I can sum it up in one word, which I will shortly.

Today's word is Psalm 33:4, NIV, which reads, "For the word of the LORD is right and true; He is faithful in all He does."

We know without a doubt that GOD'S word is right and true. There is nothing that GOD has said that has not happened, or will not happen. We can trust that what GOD says, GOD will do. The Bible tells us that GOD does not change and that He CANNOT lie; He is incapable of lying. His word is right and true.

The second part of today's word is what I want to be remembered for: "He is faithful in all He does." I know the verse is talking about GOD but I want to be found faithful. When my time here on earth is over and GOD calls me home, I want to be found faithful.
