Forgive me for my failures

The small group that I am a member of has men in it that aren't afraid to point out failures, which is a good thing for me. Maybe it isn't a problem for some of you but I can get a little full of myself from time to time and it is nice to have a group of folks who love me to bring me back to reality and to remind me that I am not perfect, and that this world would be just fine without me.

Now, they do this is a very loving way; they are never harsh or offensive, just to the point and effective. I think we all need to be reminded that we are children of the Most High GOD. He has adopted us into His family. But, it's not about us; it's about Him.

Today's word is Psalm 139:24, NLT, which reads, "Point out anything in me that offends You, and lead me along the path of everlasting life."

In today's word, David is praying for GOD to point out, to remind him, to tell him, anything about him that GOD finds offensive. I wonder if I have the courage to pray the same prayer. I wonder what GOD would point out if I asked Him to. The truth is, I already know the things that I am doing that I should not do. Don't you?

The gist of my thought today is simply that I am blessed to have a group of friends that will remind me that I am not all that, and a bag of chips. I am blessed to have a GOD Who knows that I am not all that and, yet, still loves me. I want to be pleasing to Him. Please, LORD, point out my sins and forgive me for my failures.

Be Blessed,
Mickey T
