I take a lot of photos. There are a couple of reasons for why I take a lot of photos: 1. I like having pictures of those I love and of them enjoying themselves; 2. I take the photos so that I don't have to be in the photos. I am not the most photogenic, or best looking, person.
As I have gotten a little more mature, though, I realize that there are people in this world that want photos of me, or at least photos with me in them. Why? Because, they, too, want photos of the ones they love, and I am blessed that I am one.
Today's word is Zechariah 2:8, ESV, which reads, "For thus said the LORD of hosts, after His glory sent me to the nations who plundered you, for he who touches you touches the apple of His eye."
We are the apple of GOD'S eye. He loves us and adores us and has made a home for His children in Heaven, to be with Him eternally. But, He doesn't just wait for us to come to Heaven. He is watching us each and every day. He is working through us, if we will let Him. He is opening doors for us and shutting others. We are the apple of His eye.
Maybe you see a picture of yourself, as I often do, and think, "I am not very good to look at." Well, when you do that, just remember that you are the apple of His eye; there is no one else that GOD would rather see than you, and me. You are being watched over, smile.
Be Blessed,
Mickey T
